Walter Hamilton, Jr. age 69, of Jackson, KY passed away on Thursday, December 28, 2023 at his residence. He was born February 24, 1954 in Jackson, KY and was the son of the late Walter E. and Emma Gross Hamilton. He was also preceded in death by his son: Matthew Hamilton. His brothers: Roy Cecil Hamilton, Jim Hamilton, Billy Hamilton and Jack Hamilton. His sister: Christine “Kitty” Noble. He is survived by his wife: Judy Lawson Hamilton of Jackson, KY. Two daughters: Sarah (Walter) Combs of Jackson, KY and Kimberly Hamilton of Lexington, KY. One brother: Robert Gene (Diana) Hamilton of Beattyville, KY. Three sisters: Virginia “Tootsie” (Ray David) Sallee and Carol (David) Abner of Jackson, KY; Deborah (Neil) West of Salyersville, KY. Sisters-in-law: Terey Hamilton of MI and Ogie Lee Hamilton of Winchester, KY. One grandson: Waylon Combs. His mother in law: Lois Turner of Jackson, KY. He is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, many other relatives and friends. The family wishes to express their sincere appreciation to the Hospice workers at Bluegrass Navigators. Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 1, 2024 at 1:00 pm at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel with Lee Johnson officiating. Burial in the Lawson Cemetery at Mt Carmel, KY. Visitation will be Sunday from 5:00-9:00 pm. Deaton Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
