Phyllis Ann Hensley Watkins, age 75, of Means, KY and formerly of Breathitt County passed away on Tuesday, January 16, 2024 at the Landmark of Breathitt Nursing Facility in Jackson, KY of an extended illness.  She was a retired KY Department of Highways employee.  She was born October 20, 1948 at Lambric, KY and was the daughter of the late Albert and Eva Hudson Hensley.  She was also preceded in death by brothers:  E.J. Hensley, Oran Paul Hensley and Harold Delano Hensley.  Her sisters: Imogene Lehman and Olga Lee Mauk.  She is survived by her husband: Pearl Watkins, Jr of Means, KY.  One son:  Rick (Carla) Watkins of Jeffersonville, KY.  One daughter: Deborah Lynn (Homer) Young of Jeffersonville, KY.  Two brothers: Clyde Kenneth (Carrie) Hensley of Charlotte, NC and Larry Michael (Tina) Hensley of Jackson, KY.  One sister: Mary Lillian (Ode) Fugate of Jackson, KY.  Nine grandchildren:  Ashley Kilburn (Jerry); Jerica Young (Travis); Katherine Watkins, Landon Young, Hayden Young, Jadan Young, Autumn Young, Brooklynn Young, Doug Hale Young.  Three great grandchildren:  Nevaeh, Gabe and Isaac Kilburn.  She is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and many other relatives and friends.  Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 26, 2024 at 11:00 am with Ernie Asher  officiating.  Visitation will begin Thursday from 5:00-9:00 pm. with additional services at 7:00 pm with Rose Roberts officiating.   Burial in the Hagins Cemetery at Rousseau, KY.  Deaton Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Pallbearers:  Hayden Young, Landon Young, Michael Hensley, Tyler Hensley, Justin Bowling, Alden Bowling, Brandon Fugate, Gabe Kilburn, Isaac Kilbrun and Tate Carpenter Sams.
