Lucy Barrett, age 82, of Beattyville, KY passed away on Monday, May 30, 2022, at her residence in Beattyville, KY.-She was born January 16, 1940, in Beattyville, KY, and was the daughter of the late Rufus and Bertie Newton Thacker.-She was preceded in death by her husband: James Barrett.-Her son: James Ricky Barrett.-Her daughter: Mary Ann Christie.-She was also preceded in death by a host of brothers and sisters.-She is survived by daughters: Brenda (Mike) Crawford and Barbara (James) Shoemaker of Beattyville, KY.-Her son: Dean Barrett of Beattyville, KY. -Three sisters and one brother and a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren also survive.-Funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 2, 2022, at Noon at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel with L.C. Moore officiating.-Burial in the Barrett Family Cemetery, Beattyville, KY.-Visitation will begin on Thursday at 11:00 am until the time of service.-Deaton Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
