Timothy Clay Herald, age 67 of Alexandria, KY and formerly of Talbert passed away on Saturday, May 9, 2026 at his residence in Alexandria.  He was born January 23, 1959 at Talbert, KY and was preceded in death by his father: Ray Herald.  His first wife: Sharon Lynn Herald.  His daughter: Ferna Corbin.  His brother:  Jimmy Ray Herald.  Timothy was a retired custodian in the Breathitt County School system and a member of the Macedonia Old Regular Baptist Church.  He enjoyed church, singing, hunting, fishing, gardening, family time, vacationing, card games, and camping.  He was a very loving and caring man and devoted husband, father, and grandfather.

He is survived by wife: Brenda Gross-Herald of Alexandria, KY.  his mother: Myrtle Herald of Jackson, KY.   Daughters:  Myrtle Herald of Talbert, KY and Tina Herald of Krypton, KY.  Jasmine (Austin) Bowling of Old Buck, KY.  Two stepchildren:  Cynthia (Danny) Nordwick and Jeremy (Ashlee) Gross.  Three brothers:  Daniel (Jenny) Herald of Talbert, KY; David Herald of Highland Heights, KY and Gary (Linda) Herald of Sebastians Branch, KY.  One sister: Sandra Kay (Charles) Seas of Mt. Sterling, KY.   Nine grandchildren:  Justin Haney, Charlie Haney, Jerrilynn Corbin, Gage Griffith, Gabby Griffith, Ayden Turner, Brooklynn Turner, Easton Bowling, Bentley Bowling.  Four step grandchildren: Haley Nordwick, Conner Nordwick, Lexi Nordwick and Abi Nordwick.  He is also survived by a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 14, 2026, at Noon at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel with Pat Turner and Scott Turner officiating.  Burial in the Sharon Herald Cemetery, Talbert, KY.  Visitation will begin on Wednesday from 5:00-9:00 pm. Deaton Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
