Remembering my wonderful mother, how many times I have wished now I could just have one more conversation. It was my birthday the last time I seen her. She stopped by my home and was telling me about how it was a nice sunny day like this Nov. 3rd when I was born. She left my home and to some stores and to meet her husband my step dad for lunch and headed home. She never made it home. She passed away in her last moments trying to ensure her adopted son Jaydon in the car seat behind her was safe. She always had a way of making people in her life feel wanted and cared for. The goofy things she would come up with or notice would sure to have us all laughing. It seemed no matter the obstacle placed in her way, she would find a way around. I owe to her all my knowledge of how to live on my own and navigate many obstacles. Teresa had a way about making each day interesting. Always having some kind of project going. Being so talented she could take old items and refurbish them to new or create new pieces from old items. A real artistic sense about her. She had many accomplishments but one that she was always happy about was being a girls Sunday school teacher in Michigan. She was able in those years to help young women with various issues they were struggling with while spreading gods good words. She also experienced many devastating events in her life. In the end she seemed assured that no matter the circumstances as long as she had her family she had everything she needed. Loosing a parent leaves a hole that you cannot possibly ever refill. A parents unconditional love for their child is so special. After we loose our parents, we usually have no other person remain that you will feel that sense of unconditional love from. To anyone reading this, if you have your parents still. Hug them extra tight, any of us can be the next to go.
