Peggy Jean Strong, 94, of Lexington, KY and formerly of Jackson, KY passed away on Sunday, December 29, 2024, in Lexington, KY.  She was born August 13, 1930, in Knott County, KY and was the daughter of the late John Elliott and Cora Noble Tincher.  She was preceded also in death her husband:  Marvin Eugene Strong, Sr.  Her son: Marvin Eugene Strong, Jr.  Four brothers:  Bill Tincher, Wilgus Tincher, James Eugene Tincher, Floyd Tincher.  Three sisters:  Nell Marshall, Lois Brumitt and Maida Lee Britton.

Peggy was a retired employee of the former, First National Bank in Jackson, KY.  A graduate of Jackson City School and a member of the First Baptist Church of Jackson for over 60 years.

She is survived by her daughter in law: Susan C. Strong of Frankfort, KY.  One sister: Pauline Gabbard of Vine Grove, KY.  Two grandsons:  Ryan (Cristy) Strong of Milton, GA and Mark (Ashley) Strong of Lexington, KY.  Five great granddaughters.  Gabriella Strong, Veronica Strong, Emma Strong, Avery Strong, Anniston Strong.  She is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, many other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 3, 2025, at Noon at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel with Jonathan Clemens officiating.  Burial in the Jackson Cemetery.  Visitation will begin on Friday at 11:00 am until time of service.  Deaton Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
