Pearlie Mae (McIntosh) Thorpe, age 88, of Athol, KY passed away on Monday, Feb. 6, 2017 at the Lee County Nursing Home in Beattyville, KY. -She was born July 30, 1928 at Athol, KY and was the daughter of the late Lish Johnson and Maggie McIntosh. — She was preceded in death by her husband: C.B. Thorpe. -Three daughters: Golden Marie Barker, Nannie Lou Turner and Eunice Kay Thorpe. – Two brothers: Charlie McIntosh and Floyd McIntosh. She is survived by two sons: James Edward (Mary) Thorpe of Beattyville, KY and Roy Junior Thorpe of Beattyville, KY.–Two sisters: Dora (John Henry) Turner of Jackson, KY and Elizabeth McDonald of Lima, OH–Two brothers: James (Sarah Mae) McIntosh of Jackson, KY and Roy McIntosh of Lima, OH–A host of grandchildren and great grandchildren also survive.- Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 8, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel with Billy Ray Hensley officiating. -Burial in the C & W Cemetery, Coomer Fork Road, Athol, KY.-Visitation will begin on Tuesday at 5:00 p.m. with additional services at 7:00 p.m. –Deaton Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
