Morton Darvin Bowling, age 59, of Jackson, KY passed away on Thursday, March 19, 2026, at Pikeville Medical Center in Pikeville, KY of a brief illness.  He was born March 31, 1966, at Fort Thomas, KY and was the son of the late Walter and Vicie Hall Bowling, He was also preceded in death by his brother: Darrell Bowling, He was an employee of Juniper Health in Jackson, KY.

Darvin was a man who loved life and all the joys in it. He had a contagious smile and laugh.  He loved to travel with his family especially his wife Juanita.  He really enjoyed good music and a good joke and passed that same joy onto his children.  He was an excellent cook and took great pride in feeding his family.  He was proud to be a grandpa and loved his grandchildren immensely.  He also knew Jesus and knew Jesus prepared a place for him.  All the laughs, jokes, and joys he shared will forever be a treasure to those who knew and loved him.

He is survived by his wife: Juanita Turner-Bowling of Jackson, KY.  Two sons:  Austin (Jasmine) Bowling and Alden Bowling of Jackson, KY.  One daughter:  Ashley (Kevin) Hylton of Gunlock, KY.  Three sisters:  Brenda Bowling, Kay (David) Whitman and Carol Sue (Willard) Gross, all of Jackson, KY.  Four grandchildren:  Ryker Hylton, Rylee Hylton, Easton Bowling, Bentley Bowling.  He is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, many other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 23, 2026, at Noon at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel with Fred Gross officiating.  Burial will be in the Lettie Johnson Cemetery, Mill Creek Road, Canoe, KY.  Visitation will be Sunday from 5:00-9:00 pm.  Deaton Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
