Lashanda Janette Combs, age 43 of Jackson, KY passed away on Saturday June 20, 2026 at her residence. She was born February 27, 1982 at Hazard, KY and was the daughter of the late Joel Combs and the late Janette Combs Howard.

She was preceded also in death by aunts, Brenda, Donna, Ruthie and Leatrice. Uncles, Dwain, Leo, Danny, Donnie, Jim and Darrell. Cousins, April and Scotty.

During Shanda’s spare time she enjoyed baking, crocheting, and spending time with her friends, family and spoiling her dog, cooper.     She is survived by her brother, Stephen Combs of TN. Special family friends, Tiffany Gross, Kinley Helton, Kim Combs-Mullins and Cheryl Spicer. Uncles, Kenneth & Wife, Brenda of Jackson, KY, Ronnie & Wife, Pat of Michigan. Aunts, Mary & Husband, Kerney of Lexington, KY, Peggy, Mona, Jackie, Betty Sue, Patsy, Martha. A host of family and friends survive.   Shanda is going to be laid to rest with her baby, Cooper that brought her many years of love and companionship.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, June 24, 2026 at 1:00 P.M. at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel with Kerney Brouchard officiating.  Burial in Shouse Cemetery on Town Hill in Jackson, KY. Visitation will be Wednesday June 24, 2026 from 10:00 A.M.-1:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
