Jim Tom Southwood, age 61, of Greensburg, KY and formerly of Breathitt County passed away on Thursday, April 23, 2026, at the Norton Womens and Childrens Hospital in Louisville, KY.  He was born December 15, 1964, in Hazard, KY and was preceded in death by his father: Bernice Southwood.

He is survived by his mother: Nora Neace Collins of Prestonsburg, KY.  One son: Pola Southwood of Prestonsburg, KY.  Two daughters:  Ruby Lewis (Racheal Ellis) of Prestonsburg, KY.  Katie Cornett of Hyden, KY. One brother: Donald (Jennifer) Deaton of Pikeville, KY.  Two sisters: Diane (Berry) Hall of Jackson, KY and Brenda Southwood (Josh Prater) of Pikeville, KY.   He is also survived by a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, April 27, 2026, at Noon at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel with Donald Tapio officiating.  Burial in the Noble Cemetery, Caney Hardshell Road, Hardshell, KY.  Visitation will begin on Sunday from 5:00-9:00 pm at the funeral home.  Deaton Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
