J.C. Collins, age 72, of Altro, KY passed away on Thursday, June 4, 2026, at his residence surrounded by his family and loved ones.  He was born September 21, 1953, at Altro, KY and was the son of the late John and Ida Turner Collins.

He is survived by his wife: Barbara Combs Collins of Altro, KY.  Three daughters:  Tammy (Timothy) Roberson of Morgantown, WV, Lisa (Silas Chris) Turner of Altro, KY and Missy (Dickie Lee) Abner of Altro, KY.  Four brothers:  Arnold (Madeline) Collins and Stanley (Maudie) Collins, both of Altro, KY; Larry (Rebecca) Collins of McKee, KY and Johnny (Melissa) Collins, Jr of Whick, KY.  Four sisters:  Grace Nelson of Richmond, KY; Julie (Henry) Noble and Connie Bailey, both of Altro, KY; Mary (George) McQueen of McKee, KY.   Twelve grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.  He is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, and many other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, June 7, 2026, at 1:00 pm at the Altro Church of God, Hwy 1110, Jackson, KY with Chris Turner and Gary Riley officiating.  Burial in the Collins Family Cemetery at Altro, KY.  Visitation will begin on Sunday at 11:00 am at the church until time of services.  Deaton Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
