Hannah Darlene Elam, age 63, of Jackson, KY passed away on Thursday, May 21, 2026, at the Pikeville Medical Center in Pikeville, KY.  She was born July 31, 1962, at Hazard, KY and was the daughter of the late Victor and Lottie Henson Hughes.  She was preceded also in death by her loving husband of 26 years: John Wesley Elam.  Her loving sisters:  Ada Gwin, Annie Sue Noble, Bessie Combs and her loving brothers, Donnie Hughes, Roy Hughes and Bobbie Neace.

She is survived by her loving son: John Elam and special daughter in law: Dora Collins Elam.  Her loving daughter: Jessica Lynn Elam and very special son in law: Donald Jason Fugate.  Her loving granddaughter: April Combs and her husband Josh Combs.  Her loving grandson, Jason Douglas Fugate, all of Jackson, KY.  Her sisters: Brenda Taulbee (Glenn) and Rosie Ellis (Ronald) both of Jackson, KY.   Hannah is also survived by her faithful dog, Bella.  Her loving grandsons: Sherman Collins, Jerry (LJ) Fraley and granddaughter: Gracie Jade Fraley and grandson Preston (Bubby) Fraley, all of Jackson, KY.  She is also survived by a host of niece, nephews, many other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, May 25, 2026, at Noon at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel with Harry Hale officiating service. Burial in the Jackson Cemetery.  Visitation will begin on Sunday from 5:00-9:00 pm until time of service.  Deaton Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
