Evalee Gabbard Back, age 81, of Russell Springs, KY and formerly of Breathitt County passed away on Thursday, January 2, 2025, at the UK Hospital in Lexington, KY.  She was born December 25, 1943, in Breathitt County and was the daughter of the late Clarence and Vernie Gilbert Gabbard.  She was also preceded in death by her brother: Earl Gabbard.  She is survived by her husband: Roy Back of Russell Springs, KY.  Her son: Donnie Brewer of Minnesota.  One brother: Clarence Jr (Helen) Gabbard of Altro, KY.  Four sisters:  Eula Faye (Charles) Back of Wolfcoal, KY; Betty Sue (Arthur) Back of Campton, KY; Bobbie (Malcolm Jr) Baker and Beulah (Larry) Smith, both of Altro, KY.  She is also survived by a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.  Funeral services will be held on Sunday, January 5, 2025, at 11:00 am at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel with Estill Barnett officiating.  Visitation will begin at 10:00 am on Sunday until time of service.  Burial in the Haddix Cemetery, Inc at Haddix, KY.  Deaton Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
