Cora Baker, age 78, of Barwick, KY passed away on Sunday, July 5, 2026, at her residence of an extended illness.  She was born September 4, 1947, in Breathitt County, KY and was the daughter of the late Joe and Melda Sizemore Stidham.  She was preceded in death by her husband: Clabern Baker.  Two daughters: Melda Ann Peters and Patty Mae Collins.

She is survived by her sons:  General McArther Baker of Prestonsburg, KY and Willie Edward Baker of Barwick, KY. One daughter:  Nancy Turner of Barwick, KY.   Brother: Raleigh Stidham of Barwick, KY and two sisters:  Sally B. Fugate and Laura Baker, both of Barwick, KY.   She is also survived by a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, many other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 8, 2026, at Noon at the Altro Church of God, Altro, KY with Chris Turner officiating.  Burial in the Stidham Cemetery, Barwick, KY.  Visitation will begin on Tuesday, July 7, 2026, at 5:00 pm at the church.  Deaton Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
