Ada Gwin McKinney, age 74, of Jackson, KY passed away on Thursday, January 2, 2025, at the Wells Hospice Care Center in Hazard, KY.  She was born June 21, 1950, in Hazard, KY and was the daughter of the late Victor Hughes and Lottie Henson Hughes.  She was preceded also in death by husband: Eddie Wayne McKinney.  Her son: Douglas McKinney.   Her son:  Baxter Dale Gwin.  Her grandson:  Alex Hudson.  Brothers: Donnie Hughes, Roy Hughes and Ronnie Hughes.   Her sisters: Annie Sue Noble and Bessie Combs.    She is survived by her sons:  Tony McKinney and Arnold Gwin (Roxanne Hurley) and Arnold Gwin, all of Jackson, KY.  Two daughters: Pauline (Phillip) Hudson and Ada Gwin, both of Jackson, KY.  One brother: Bobby (Brenda) Neace of Jackson, KY.  Three sisters:  Brenda (Berlin Glenn) Taulbee, Hannah Elam and Rosie (Ronald) Ellis, all of Jackson, KY.  Granddaughters:  Isabella McKinney, Cheyanna Gwin, Brianna Gwin, Mercedes Gwin, Bekah Gwin and Abigail Lovens.   Grandsons: Aaron Hudson, Jaxon Gwin and Memphis Brewer.   She is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, other family and special friends.  Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 9, 2025, at 1:00 pm at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel.  Burial in Jackson Cemetery.  Visitation will be Wednesday, January 8 from 5:00-9:00 pm.  Deaton Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
