Homer Moore, Jr

Homer “Paul Bunyan” Moore, Jr, age 78, of Campton, KY passed away on Tuesday, March 3, 2026.  He was born March 30, 1947 at Whick, KY and was the son of the late Homer and Susie Deaton Moore.  He was preceded in death by his wife: Dianne Moore.  His daughter: Sandra “Pooh” Combs.  Brothers: Roy Moore, Gerald Moore and Floyd Edward Moore.   His sister:  Mary Jane Strong.

He is survived by son: Tony (Deana) Moore of Campton, KY.  Daughters:  Tracey (Scottie) Spicer of Chavies, KY and Christy Turner of Winchester, KY.  Brothers: Raymond (Mary) Moore of Jackson, KY and Eugene (Patsy) Moore of Tecumseh, MI.   Sisters: Trish (Ray) Moore, Una Torrice and Juanita Spicer, all of Whick, KY.  Five grandchildren:  Ryan (Brooke) Spicer, Kayla Moore, Brady Turner, Ethan “Butter” Moore, Lily Turner and Betty Spicer.  Two great grandchildren:  Emmy Spicer and Grace Spicer.   One son in law:  Matthew Combs.  Two sisters in law:  Donna Moore and Marie Moore. He is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, any other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 6, 2026, at 1:00 pm at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel with Ryan Spicer officiating.  Burial in the Moore Family Cemetery, Terrill Fork Road, Campton, KY.  Visitation will begin on Thursday from 5:00-9:00 pm.  Deaton Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.  Pallbearers:  A host of nephews and special family members.
