Dora Turner

Dora McIntosh Turner, age 83, of Beattyville, KY and formerly of Athol, KY passed away on Saturday, January 17, 2026, at her residence.  She was born July 10, 1942, in Breathitt County and was the daughter of the late Perry and Maggie Hollan McIntosh.  She was also preceded in death by her husband: Reverend John Henry Turner.  Her son:  Charles Newton Turner.  Her brothers: Roy McIntosh, James McIntosh, Charlie McIntosh and Floyd McIntosh.  Her sister:  Elizabeth McDonald.  Four grandchildren.  Ledford Glen Turner, Katelyn Turner, Hanna Turner and Cody Turner.  She is survived by sons:  John Edward Turner of Beattyville, KY; James Richard Turner of OH; Cecil Ray Turner of Booneville, KY and Randall (Carey) Turner of Jackson, KY.   Her daughter: Maggie (Charles) Griffith of Beattyville, KY.  20 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren.  Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, January 20, 2026, at 1:00 pm at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel with Roger Turner and Clay Gross officiating.  Burial in the Sid Jett Cemetery, Highland Road, Athol, KY.  Visitation will begin on Tuesday at 11:00 am until time of service.  Deaton Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.  Pallbearers:  Richard Turner, Randy Turner, Brian turner, Michael Turner, Jayden Griffith, Jonatha Turner, Carson Turner.
