David Christopher Back

David Christopher Back, born September 8, 1977, in Lexington, KY passed away on Monday, January 12, 2026.  He was deeply loved and will be missed more than words can express.  Chris found joy in life’s simple moments.  He enjoyed baseball and football, a good movie, and spending time with the people he loved most.  He had a deep love for animals and shared many years with his beloved parrot, a companion that held a special place in his heart.  Chris was known for his kind nature and genuinely good heart.  Those who knew him will remember his warmth, his quiet presence, and the love he gave so freely.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents: Uriah and Ruth Landrum and his paternal grandfather:  Freman Back.

He is survived by his parents: David Back and Nadine Landrum Back of Campton, KY.  His daughters:  Krista Rhea Back of Frankfort, KY and Haley Nadine Back of Campton, KY; his grandson, Wilson Crockett; his sister, Carla Back of Richmond, KY; his nephews: Taylor Booth and Brody Booth; and his grandmother: Barbara Back of Jackson, KY.  He is also survived by a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and many other relatives and friends.

Chris’s memory will live on through the family he cherished and the love he shared.  He will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew him.
