Linburg Spicer

Lindburg Spicer, age 62, of Altro, KY passed away at his residence on Thursday, January 1, 2026, after a brief illness.    He was born March 12, 1963, at Altro, KY and was the son of the late Jesse and Ethel Deaton Spicer.  He also was preceded in death by one brother: Jesse Jr. Spicer.  Five sisters:  Audrey “Sissy” Spicer, Sally Mae Turner, Mary Francis Spicer, Shirley Faye Deaton and Georgia Bernard.  He is survived by three sisters:  Betty Rose Spicer of Altro, KY; Teresa Neace of Jackson, KY; Lula (Virgil) Stamper of Franklin, OH.  One brother: Robert (Mary) Spicer of Altro, KY.  Two brothers-in-law:  Willard Jr. Bernard and Bill Turner.  He is also survived by two special nephews:  Chris Spicer and Michael Spicer.  A very special great niece: Jonnah Hope Spicer.  Two Special Friends that were like brothers to him:  Brent Turner and Shane Turner.  He is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews and other friend and family to cherish his memory.  Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 5, 2026, at 1:00 pm at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel with Chris Turner, Robbie Turner, Gary Riley, and Ryan Spicer officiating.  Burial will follow in the Turner and Spicer Cemetery, Bowling Creek Road, Altro, KY.  Visitation will begin at the funeral home on Monday at 11:00 am until time of service.  Deaton Funeral Home in charge of arrangements:  Pallbearers:  Friends and Family.
