Carl Henson

Carl Henson, age 81, of Old Buck Road, Jackson, KY passed away on Wednesday, December 3, 2025, at the Saint Joseph Hospital London of a brief illness. He was born April 17, 1944, at Watts, KY and was the son of the late Allen (Dickytray) Henson and Nannie Belle Turner Henson.  Carl was a retired worker at the Buckhorn State Park at Buckhorn, KY.  He was preceded in death by his wife:  Goldie Ferguson Henson.  Two sons:  Freddy Henson and Carl Henson, Jr.  One brother: Jimmie Henson.  One grandchild:  Tiffany Obremski.   Seven sisters: Alberta White, Martha White, Julie Gwinn, Louella Stidham, Nancy White, Laura Gabbard, Jane Henson.  He is survived by sons: Tommy Henson of Jackson, KY.  Gregory (Mendy) Jones and Billy Jr. (Jessica) Jones of Seymour, IN, Jeff Henson of IN.  Two daughters:  Carla Vires of Booneville, KY and Teresa (Dale) Caudill of Whitesburg, KY.  One sister: Lucy Wagner of Scottsburg, IN.   Grandchildren:  Carla (Adam) Thomas; Whitney Vires, Chris Jones, Bridgette Jones and Michelle Obremski.  Great grandchildren:  Cheyenne Thomas, Samuel, Thomas, Freddy Ray Thomas, Laura Thomas, Carl Dewayne Thomas, Arizona Fugate.  He is also survived by a host of other relatives and friends.  Funeral services will be held on Sunday, December 7, 2025, at 11:00 am at the Altro Church of God, Hwy 1110, Altro, KY with Chris Turner, Krouc Noble and Henry Lloyd Deaton officiating.   Burial in the Vires Cemetery, Bob Turner Road, Booneville, KY.  Visitation will begin on Friday at 5:00 pm at the Altro Church of God with visitation also on Saturday night with additional services at 7:00 pm.  Deaton Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
