Lewis Douglas Howard

Lewis Douglas Howard, age 76, of Jackson, KY passed away on Wednesday, November 5, 2025, at the Baptist Health Hospital in Lexington, KY of a brief illness.  He was born November 8, 1948, at War Creek, KY and was the son of the late Bill and Pearlie Gross Howard.  He was preceded also in death by brothers, Charles Howard and James Howard.  Sisters:  Clara Riley, Plina Handcock and Wilma Short.  He is survived by his wife:  Glenna Brewer Howard of Jackson, KY.  Two daughters:  Melissa Howard and Tammy Howard (Doyle Turner), both of Jackson, KY.  Two sisters:  Lois Duncan of Bethel, OH and Rosa Elpers of Evansville, IN. One grandson: Dalton Tharp. He is also survived by a host of other family and many friends.  Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 8, 2025, at 11:00 am at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel with Doug Finley officiating.  Burial in the Brewer Family Cemetery Oakdale, KY. Visitation will begin on Friday, November 7 from 5:00-9:00 pm.  Deaton Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.  Pallbearers:  Jeff Riggs, Travis Watts, Randy Carpenter, Doyle Turner, Kenny Combs, Billy Joe Mullins.  Honorary pallbearers:  Dalton Tharp, Ricky Barnett, Vince Elpers, Richard Beck, Jamie Moore, Kelly Noble, Harold Combs.  Deaton Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
