James Hollon

James Hollon, age 72, of Beattyville, KY passed away on Friday, August 22, 2025, at the KY River Medical Center in Jackson, KY.  He was born January 12, 1953, in Clay County, KY.  He was a member of Faith Pentecostal Church, Hwy 205, Vancleve, KY where he attended faithfully and loved everyone, especially serving the Lord.  He was preceded in death by his father: C.B. Thorpe and mother:  Bessie Hollon.  His loving wife: Teresa Gail Hollon.  His brothers: Frank Hollon, Bobby Hollon and sister: Mary Bryant.  He is survived by daughters: Lisa (Russell) Ogans of Beattyville, KY and Crystal (Bobby) Shuler of Berea, KY.  Grandson:  Daryl Ogans of Beattyville, KY.  Grandkids:  Jessica Ogans, Sara Ogans, Linda Ogans, of Beattyville, KY and Rebecca Neace, Jeffrey Neace of Berea, KY.  Great grandkids:  Elijah, Elizabeth, Dakota.  Brother: Jr. Hollon of Jackson, KY.  Sisters:  Darlene (David) McIntosh, Hazel Bryant, both of Jackson, KY.  He is also survived by a host of family and friends. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, August 26, 2025, at Noon at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel with Jerry Henson, Jr officiating.  Burial in the Ogans Cemetery at Canyon Falls, KY.  Visitation will be Monday from 5:00-9:00 pm.  Deaton Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
