Fred Hardin

Fred Hardin, age 83, of Smith Branch Road, Jackson, KY passed away at his residence on Thursday, April 17, 2025, surrounded by his family.  He was born May 28, 1941, at Portsmouth, KY. and was the son of the late John Morgan and Flossie Hays Hardin.  Preceded also in death by his wife: Alifair Miller Hardin.  His son: Freddy Lee Hardin and brother: Bob Hardin.   He was a retired welder.  He is survived by his faithful companion: Edith Miller of Jackson, KY.  Four sons:  Gary (Jackie) Hardin and Gregory Lynn Hardin, both of Jackson, KY; John Morgan Hardin of Bellevue, NE and Michael (Tony) Hardin of Chavies, KY.  Three daughters:  Elizabeth (James) Ramirez of Temecula, CA; Janett Darlene Gross and Penelope “Penny” (Ron) Castro of Bellevue, NE.  Two brothers: Arthur (Edith) Hardin and Dennis Hardin, both of Jackson, KY.  Twenty-one grandchildren and 29 great grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, many other relatives and friends who will also mourn his passing.  A private Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.  No formal services will be held.  Deaton Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
