Treva Turner Gross, age 85, of Sebastians Branch, KY passed away on Friday, August 29, 2025, at the UK Medical Center in Lexington, KY of a brief illness.  She was born April 14, 1940, at Sebastians Branch, KY and was the daughter of the late Newton and Julia Spicer Turner.  Treva was a schoolteacher in both the Breathitt County and Perry County School systems.  She was a faithful member of the Breathitt County Homemakers.   Treva loved her family, enjoyed her friends and her community.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters: Lena Stamper, Louise McIntosh, and Alma Johnson, Her granddaughter: Marley Treva-Rose Gross.  She is survived by two sons: Michael Dale Gross (Janie) and Marcus Lee Gross, both of Sebastians Branch, KY.  Three daughters:  Melanie Stevens of Sebastians Branch, KY; Marsha Jett and Debra Drake (Gary), both of Jackson, KY.  Eight grandchildren:  Sylvia Gross (Ryan); Ashley Combs (Travis); Aaron Jett (Anna); Matthew Strong; Andrew Jett (Ruby); Tyson Gross (BreAnna); Tory Baker (Jagger); Kim Gross. Three great grandchildren:  Alex Combs, Olivia Combs, Boone Gross.  She is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, many other family and friends.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, September 2, 2025 at Noon at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel with Gary Drake officiating.  Burial in the Buddy Spicer Cemetery, Hwy 315, Sebastians Branch, KY.  Visitation will begin on Tuesday at 10:00 am until time of service.  Deaton Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.   Pallbearers:  Andrew, Travis, Aaron, Marc, Ryan, Jagger, Tyson.
