Shirley Jean Sheffel, age 75, of Little Creek Road, Jackson, KY passed away on Thursday, November 21, 2024, at her residence.  She was born December 29, 1948, in Kansas City, MO and was the daughter of the late Ervan and Barbara Hall Hontz.  She was preceded also in death by one sister: Saundra Napier.  She is survived by her husband: Paul Sheffel of Jackson, KY.  One son: Paul James (Melissa) Sheffel of Newport, KY.  Three daughters:  Julie (Mike) Robinson of Batavia, OH; Bethel (Chad) Leonard of Bethel, OH; Barbara Wagers of Jackson, KY.  One sister: Kristy Buchwald of IN.  Eleven grandchildren:  Joseph Sheffel, James Sheffel, Teddy Combs, Tessa Robinson, Andrew Robinson, Isaac Robinson, Kayla Sullivan, Chase Leonard, Felix Wagers, Kyle Wagers, William Wagers.  She is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.  Funeral services will be held on Monday, November 25, 2024, at 1:00 pm at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel with Jeremy Sheffel officiating.  Burial in the Hontz Family Cemetery, Little Creek Road, Jackson, KY.   Deaton Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
