Norma Lee Strong, age 79, of Altro, KY passed away on Monday, January 12, 2026, at her residence.  She was born March 28, 1946, at Saldee, KY and was the daughter of the late Thomas and Dayle Lawson Strong.  She was preceded also in death by her husband: Sampson Strong.  Her brother: Tommy Strong.  Her sisters:  Jean Strong, Maude Spicer, Ruth Gambill, Faye Strong and Delcie Gambill.

Norma was a bookkeeper for the Methodist Mountain Mission in Jackson, KY for 39 years.  She also attended the Full Gospel Church of Whick and Feb Fork Church of Buckhorn, KY.

She is survived by her son:  Terrance (Diana) Strong of Altro, KY.    Two sisters:  Joish (Charles) Spencer of Florence, KY and Vicky (Wayne) Lackey of AL.  Five grandchildren:  T.J. (Beth) Strong; Lorna (Ryan) Bush, David Strong, Cassie Akemon, Dorsie Akemon.  Six great grandchildren:  Damian and wife Katie, Riley, Austin, William, Adilyn, and River.  Two great great-grandchildren:  Ellie and Jax.  A special Friend:  Barbara Neace.  A lifelong friend/cousin:  Duredith Pete Strong.  She is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, many other relatives and friends.  Funeral services will be held on Thursday January 15, 2026, at 5:00 pm at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel with John Bunn, Raymond Moore, Gary Bellamy and Gary Riley officiating.  Visitation will begin on Thursday at Noon at the funeral home.  Deaton Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
