Marlane Neace Sword, born April 5, 1961, 64 years of age, quietly slipped the bonds of her earthly home on Turkey Creek in Breathitt County, Kentucky to be with her Heavenly Father at approximately 5:00 a.m. on the Tuesday, November 18, 2025.  She was born in Hazard, KY and was the daughter of the late Bradley and Mary McIntosh Neace.  She was also preceded in death by a grandson: Triston Sword.

Marlane is survived by one son: Eddie D. Sword of Wolfe County, KY.  Three sisters:  Michelle Neace Caudill (Gary) of Breathitt County, KY; Andrea Lynn Porter (Richard) and Tammy Banks (Hubert) both of Pulaski County, Kentucky.  She is survived also by four grandchildren:  Deliliah, Gabrial, Ashford and Landon as well as a host of other family and friends.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 21, 2025, at Noon at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel with David Caudill officiating.  A private burial will follow in the Caudill and Mary Neace Family Cemetery, Turkey Creek, of Breathitt County, KY.  Visitation will begin at 11:00 am until time of service.  Deaton Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
