Mark Smith, age 57, of Morris Fork, KY passed away on Sunday, March 1, 2026, at his residence. He was born June 23, 1968, at Hazard, KY and was the son of the late Steven and Mildred (White) Smith.  He also was preceded in death by his brother: Tommy Lee Smith.  He is survived by two sons: Woodrow Faine of Hazard, KY and Marcus (Kayla) Faine of Shelbyville, KY.  Two daughters:  Brittany Haddix and Kendra (Delano) Hardin, both of Jackson, KY.  One brother: James Steven Smith of North Carolina and one sister: Linda (Darrell) Sparkman of Hazard, KY.  Six grandchildren:  Jakori Moore, Jaylynn Moore, Piper Holliday, Hayden Hardin, Zayden Hardin and Kennedy Faine.  He is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 4, 2026, at 1:00 pm at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel with Chris Turner officiating.  Burial in the Johnson Cemetery at Buckhorn, KY.  Visitation will begin on Wednesday at 11:00 am until time of service.  Deaton Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
