Jennifer Calhoun, age 81, of Jackson, KY passed away on Wednesday, January 21, 2026, at the KY River Medical Center in Jackson, KY of a brief illness.  She was born March 4, 1944, in Middletown, OH and was the daughter of the late Warren and Sylvia Hardin Calhoun.  She was preceded also in death by paternal grandparents:  Bob and Alice Caudill Calhoun.  Maternal grandparents:  Enos and Laura Hardin.   Her nephew: Tony Calhoun.  Jennifer was a graduate of Morehead State University.  She loved to quilt and do embroidery. She also was a licensed beautician.

She is survived by her brothers: Lowell (Betty) Calhoun of Jackson, KY.  Rory (Myra Jo) of Augusta, GA.   Her sister: Shelia Martin of Dayton, OH.  Nephews:  Gregory Martin and Richard Eric Martin.  Niece:  Erica Martin Chen.   She is also survived by a host of great nephews and nieces.  A very special thank you to special friends of Jennifer: Twilla Haddix, Linda Gross, Wanda Rose, Ann Deaton, Shirley Hays and Dale Rose.  She is also survived by a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, January 27, 2026, at 1:00 pm at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel.  Visitation will begin on Tuesday at 11:00 am.  Burial will be in the Hardin Cemetery, Hwy 1098, Portsmouth, KY.  Deaton Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.   Due to weather predictions, funeral services may need to be postponed.
