Jamie Lynn Pursell, age 39, of Manchester, KY passed away on Thursday, July 3, 2025, at the Breathitt Health and Rehab in Jackson, KY after a difficult battle with cervical cancer.  She was born May 9, 1986, in Greencastle, IN, to parents Barbara Ann Cook and Michael Everett Carter Jr.  Jamie was later adopted by Robert Louis Pursell and grew up in Monrovia, IN, attending Monrovia Jr-Sr High School.

Jamie gave birth to four children, Armand Myers, Jason Coffman, Chloe and Vanessa Pressler.  Jamie relocated to the Big Island of Hawaii in 2012, living there through 2021.  In early 2021 Jamie relocated to Manchester, KY with her family.  Jamie had a great love of animals.  At various times she raised chickens, sheep, rabbits, quails and had the occasional pet cat and dog.  Jamie was also a talented artist creating jewelry, sketching and other artistic works.

Jamie was preceded in death by her biological father, mother, and son, Jason Coffman.  She is survived by her daughter, Vanessa Pressler, father, Robert Pursell, siblings Kim Stutler, Nikki Keim, and Jake Pursell and other family and friends who will mourn her passing.  Deaton Funeral Home will be handling the arrangements.  There is no service planned at this time.
