James (Whitey) Herald, age 53, of Wolfcoal, KY. passed away on Friday, September 27, 2024.
He was born March 12, 1971, the son of the late Alvin and Sarah Herald.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Ollie James and Elizabeth Herald and Arch and Geneva Collins; one niece, Angel Faith Raleigh; and one great niece, Scarlett Michelle Herald.
He is survived by his brothers: Michael (Tenille) Herald of Lost Creek and Alvin Thomas Herald of Wolfcoal; sister, Teresa Arnett (Jeff Francis) of Lost Creek; nieces: Carlene (Willie) Turner of Wolfcoal and Sarah (Shawn) Herald of Booneville: nephews: Luke Baker, Dustin Deaton, and Timmy (Tiffany) Branson; great nieces: Jasmine Coomer and Imani Turner; and great nephews: Hunter Coomer, Verlon Herald, and Alexander Herald. He is also survived by a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 1, 2024 at 1PM. at the Deaton Funeral Home Chapel with Chris Turner officiating. Burial will follow in the Hall and Herald Cemetery at Turners Creek.
Visitation will be held Monday, September 30, 2024 from 5PM.- 9PM.
