Danny Fugate, age 68, of Jackson, KY passed away on Tuesday, April 15, 2025, at the Ephraim McDowell Select Care Hospital in Danville, KY.  He was born January 2, 1957, in Chicago, IL.  and was the son of the late Monroe and Virgie Miller Fugate.  Preceded also in death by brothers:  Ervine and Larry Joe Fugate.  Sisters:  Tempa Miller, Phoebe Hamblin, and Dale Fugate.  Father-in-law: David “Sweet Tater” Caudill.  Danny was a US Army Veteran and previously worked at the Juvenile Justice Center in Jackson, KY.  He is survived by his wife: Sandra Anne Fugate, of Jackson, KY.  Sons:  Pearl David Hudson, Jr (Morgan) and Danny Ray Fugate (Guess), both of Jackson, KY.  Daughter: Samantha Fugate of Jackson, KY.  Grandchildren:  McKenzie Danielle Asher, Trevan Fugate, Tyson Kennedy and Lyndon Hudson, Cody Fugate.  Step grandchildren:  James Turner, Missouri Deaton, Zyenna Gay.  Step great grandchildren:  Kasen Turner and Atticus Deaton.  Brothers: O.H. Fugate and Gary Fugate (Diane) of Jackson, KY.  Sister:  Linda Seibert of Nebraska.  Aunt Barbara Haddix.  Brothers in law:  David “Doc” , Ted, and James Caudill.  Sisters in law:  Nancy Strong and Wilma Hamilton.  Mother-in-law: Mae Caudill.  He is also survived by a host of family and friends.  Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 19, 2025, at 1:00 pm at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel with military rites observed.  Estill Barnett officiating service.  Eulogy by Mitch Smith.  Burial in the Jackson Cemetery.  Visitation will be on Friday from 5:00-9:00 pm with Masonic Rites at 7:00 pm.  Deaton Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
