Barbara Stamper Salyers, age 65, of Jackson, KY departed this earthly life and entered her heavenly home on Tuesday, April 15, 2025, at her residence surrounded by family and friends.  She was born September 13, 1959, in Jackson, KY and was the daughter of the late Letcher and Flora Combs Stamper.  Preceded also in death by her husband: Thomas Glen Salyers and her son: Joshua Caine Stamper.  A very special friend:  Dottie Lou Combs.  She is survived by her brother: Dale (Barbara) Stamper of Vancleve, KY.  Her sister: Teresa (Wayne) Watts of Jackson, KY.  Two grandchildren:  Dakota Blake Stamper (Paige) and Alexis Cheyenne Stamper (Shane Deaton), both of Jackson, KY.  Three great grandchildren.  Gracelynn, Blakely, Ethan.  Very special friends: Jan Pelfrey, Mike Combs and Kelsie Gross.  She is also survived by a host of other relatives and friends.  Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 18, 2025, at Noon at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel with Archie Combs officiating.   Burial in Jackson Cemetery.  Visitation will be Thursday from 5:00-9:00 pm.  Pallbearers:  Family and friends.  In lieu of flowers, family requests donations be made to Bluegrass Care Navigators, a charity of your choice, or as Barb would say “do something special for your family or friends.”  Deaton Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
