Joyce Kaye Johnson, age 67, of Sebastians Branch, KY passed away Monday, August 16, 2021, at her residence.-She was born April 1, 1954, in Jackson, KY, and was the daughter of the late Johnny and Polly Herald Griffith.- She was a former employee of the Breathitt County Board of Education.-She was preceded in death by a special daughter in law: Tonya Michelle Johnson, special nephew, Michael Lee Griffith, her sisters: Arminda Sue Griffith, Rachel Griffith, and Jane Griffith.-Her brother: Lewis Griffith.-She is survived by her loving husband of 50 years, Mitchell lee Johnson of Sebastians Branch, KY.- Three sons: Michael (Michelle) Johnson of London, KY.-Terry Johnson of Morehead, KY-Anthony (Felicia) Johnson of Sebastians Branch, KY.-Grandchildren: Tate (Shanna) Johnson, Tadd Johnson, Houston Wilson, Kyndal Johnson, Emilee Johnson.-Five sisters: Fae Smith of Knoxville, TN; -Mary (Philip) Gross of Jackson, KY;- Anna (June) Stamper of Newport, KY; Shirley Napier of Sebastians Branch, KY. Judy Raleigh of Newport, KY: Two brothers: Johnny (Cori) Griffith of Jackson, KY and Michael (Tina) Griffith of Sebastians Branch, KY.-She is also survived by a host of family and friends who will mourn her passing..-Funeral services will be held on Thursday, August 19, 2021, at 12:00 pm at Deaton Funeral Home chapel with Pat Turner officiating.-Burial in the Griffith Family Cemetery, Sebastians Branch, KY.-Visitation will begin on Wednesday from 5:00-9:00 pm.: Deaton Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.-Due to Covid- masks are requested to be worn but are not mandatory at this time.
