Melvin Hudson

Melvin Hudson, age 52, passed away on Monday, June 27, 2016. He was born August 2, 1963 at Ary, KY and was the son of the late Cordus and Bertha (Kazee) Hudson. He was a former school teacher in the Breathitt County School System. He is survived by his wife: Anna Marie (Short) Hudson of Hardshell, KY. One daughter: Jody (County) Howard of Jackson, KY. One son: Jacob Randall (Evelyn) Hudson of Jackson, KY. One sister: Verda (Leonard) Carpenter of FL. Eight brothers: Earl Wayne (Kate) Hudson; Vergil Hudson (girlfriend Sue Sweeny) and Seldon (Charlotte) Hudson of OH; Archie Hudson (girlfriend, Yvonne Spicer) and Gerald (Martha) Hudson of Jackson, KY. Alvin (Elaine) Hudson of Lost Creek, KY. Lewis (Donna) Hudson of Louisville, KY; Denzil (Debbie) Hudson of Hardshell, KY. Four grandchildren: Granville Howard, Liberty Howard, J.D. McKenzie Howard and State Howard. Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 1, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel with Gary Bellamy officiating. Burial in the Kazee Family Cemetery at Hardshell, KY. Visitation will begin on Thursday, June 30, 2016 at 5:00 p.m. Deaton Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
