James Newton Turner

James Newton Turner, age 78, of Jackson, KY passed away on Sunday, January 19, 2020, at his residence.-He was born June 11, 1941, at Canoe, KY and was the son of the late Granville and Mary (Arrowood) Turner.-He was preceded in death by his wife: Nannie Lou Turner.-One brother: Granville Turner, JR.-He is survived by six daughters: Eunice (Johnny) Mullins, Pearlie Beach (Joel Doughman); Vickie (Hargis) Spicer; Geraldine (Charles) Turner and Misty (Kirk) Hounshell all of Jackson, KY.-Mary Jean (Gordon) Turner of Georgetown, KY.-Three sons: John Newton (Tina) Turner; Roger (Peggy) Turner and Keith (Tammy) Turner of Jackson, KY.-Four sisters: Ida Rose Gross and Sara Mae McIntosh of Jackson, KY.-Esther Faye (Charles) Lee and Mary Joyce Thompson of OH.-Three brothers: John Henry Turner of Jackson, KY-Roger B. Turner of Beattyville, KY; Fred Turner of Winchester, KY.- He is also survived by a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren.-Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 22, 2020, at 1:00 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home with Henry Turner officiating.-Burial in the Sid Jett Cemetery at Athol, KY.-Visitation will begin on Wednesday at 6:00 p.m.-Deaton Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
