Mary Lee Griffith

Mary Lee Griffith, age 69, of Jackson, KY passed away on Sunday, November 24, 2019, at the St. Joseph Hospital in Lexington, KY.-She was born February 26, 1951, at Ary, KY and was the daughter of the late Burnice and Edith Mae (Brown) Griffith.- She was also preceded in death by paternal grandparents: Wayne and Athie (Callahan) Griffith.-Maternal grandparents: John Wesley and Thelma Jane Truesdell.- One aunt: Phyllis Grimes. Two uncles: Jack Brown and Jesse Brown.-Mary was a retired kindergarten teacher and taught 27 years in the Lee County School system.-She is survived by two aunts: Virginia Faye (Ronald) King of Alexandria, VA.-Sally Kay Meade of Louisville, KY.-Her beloved dog, faithful companion, and the apple of her eye: Sasha.-Two special close friends and caregivers:-Madeline Collins and Linda Mullins.- She also had other special caregivers who assisted with her care.- She is also survived by several other family members and friends. -Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 27, 2019, at 11:00 a.m. at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel with Phillip Swartzentruber officating.-Burial in the Thomas Griffith Cemetery, Houston, KY.-Visitation will begin on Wednesday at 9:00 a.m. until time of service.-Deaton Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
