Sam Baker, age 83, of Canoe, KY passed away on Monday, August 26, 2019, in Clark County due to an automobile accident.-He was born March 20, 1936, at Yerkes, KY and was the son of the late Farmer and Martha Baker.-He was preceded in death by one step -daughter: Linda Gann. One brother: Floyd Baker.- He is survived by his wife: Amanda (Pennington) Baker of Canoe, KY. One daughter: Rebecca Hughes of Lexington, KY.Five stepdaughters: Gail (Eugene) McCord of Lexington, KY. Rose (Don) Johnson of TN; Nancy (Bill) Jenkins of Versailles, KY; Rhonda (Delmer) Bryant of Athol, KY; Vonda (Tommy) Keith of Jackson, KY.-Three step sons: Bill (Evelyn) Gann of London, KY; Ronnie (Trendy) Spicer of Saldee, KY; Phillip (Jennifer) Spicer of Jackson, KY; One sister: Imogene Wilson of Ohio.-Two brothers: James Baker of GA and E.C. Baker of KY.- Special nephew and best friend: Jess Baker.-Special friends John and Joyce Combs.-A host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren and many other relatives also survive.-Funeral services will be held on Monday, September 2, 2019, at Noon at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel with Chris Turner officiating.-Burial in the Baker Family Cemetery at Yerkes, KY.-Visitation will begin on Monday at 11:00 a.m. until time of service.-Deaton Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.-Pallbearers: Family and Friends.
