Faris Gilbert, JR

Faris Gilbert, JR, age 81, of Sadieville, KY passed away on Thursday, July 26, 2018 at the Harrison Memorial Hospital in Cynthiana, KY-He was born February 8, 1937  in Breathitt County, KY and was the son of the late Faris and Nancy Jane (Roberts) Gilbert.-He served in the  United States Army from August 1959 to August 1961. -He was a member of the Boyers Chapel Community Church at Sadieville, KY. – He was an excellent hunter and craftsman.–Besides his parents, he was also  preceded in death by one son: Phillip Gilbert.–He is survived by one step son: Claude Daniel Privettin Sadieville, KY-One sister: Virgie (Jack) Johnson of Mason, OH.-Three brothers:- Bob (Sundra) Gilbert of Jackson, KY, -Matthew (Doris) Gilbert of Jackson, KY-John (Donna) Gilbert of Jackson, KY–A Host of family and friends and grandchildren also survive. -Memorial services and a Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, August 9, 2018 at 2:00 PM at the First Church of God, Hwy. 30 West, Jackson, KY with Bobby Hollon officiating.–Interment of remains: Gilbert Family Cemetery, Bowman Fork Road, Jackson, KY-Deaton Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
