Clyde Smith, JR , age 55, of Canoe, KY passed away on Monday, March 12, 2018 in Beattyville, KY.–He was born June 13, 1962 in Owsley County, KY and was the son of the late Clyde Smith.–He also was preceded in death by one brother-in-law: Robert Johnson.–He is survived by his wife: Sheila (Combs) Smith of Jackson, KY–His mother: Delcie (Short) Bowling of Jackson, KY–Two daughters: Kimberly (Joshua) Hughes of Garrison, KY–Jennifer Smith of Jackson, KY–Four sisters:  Jeannie Smith Johnson of Canoe, KY–Diane (Stan) Farmer of Mt. Sterling, KY–Darlene (Eddie) Johnson of Canoe, KY–Charlene (Michael) Lord of OH.–Two granddaughters: Abby Lynn Hurt and Sophia Kate Hughes.–He is also survived by a host of other relatives and friends.–Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 15, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel with Roy Moore officiating.–Burial in the Matt Short Cemetery, Mill Creek Road, Canoe, KY–Visitation will begin on Wednesday at 5:00 p.m.–Deaton Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.–Pallbearers: Family and Friends
