Sharon Ann Thorpe

Sharon Ann Thorpe, age 69, of Jackson, KY passed away due to a brief illness on Wednesday, April 8, 2026, at the Hazard ARH.  She was born April 10, 1956, in Kalamazoo, MI and was the daughter of the late Henry and Betty Combs Benson.   She was also preceded in death by her husband: Johnny Thorpe and two brothers:  John Benson and Russell Benson.  One sister: Carol Benson.

She is survived by her daughter: Betty Ann Thorpe of Jackson, KY.  Her brothers:  Glenn Benson of TN and Kenneth R. Benson of Jackson, KY.  Her sister: Sandra Kay (Hershel) Arrowood of Vancleve, KY.  A special nephew and niece:  Holden Arrowood and Rebecca Noble.  She is also survived by a host of other nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, April 11, 2026, at Noon at the Tyra Cemetery, Vancleve, KY.  Deaton Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
