Robert B. Thompson

Robert B. Thompson, age 92, of Morris Fork, KY passed away on Thursday, January 29, 2026, at the Wells Hospice Care Center in Hazard, KY.  He was born February 25, 1933, at Morris Fork, KY and was the son of the late R.D. and Mary Barger Thompson.   He also was preceded in death by his wife: Nancy Thompson.   His son: Rocky Dean Thompson.  His brothers:  Walter Thompson.  His sisters:  Elsie Thompson, Bertha Deaton, and Grace Chasteen.  Robert was a veteran of the United States Air Force Strategic Air Command. He is survived by son: Rickey (Becky) Thompson of Morris, KY; Daughter:  Cristy (Glenn) Farler of Hazard, KY.  Two sisters: Carol Thomas and Sylvia Thompson of Middletown, OH.  Two grandchildren:  Joshua (Kirstie) Thompson and Stephanie (Lincoln) Wittenmyer.  Ten great grandchildren:  Joshlynn, Apple, Jeremiah, Savannah, Reylin, Sophia, Eva, Isabella, Hannah, and Balor.  He is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, February 2, 2026, at 1:00 pm at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel with Rickey Thompson officiating.  Burial in the Cow Creek Church Cemetery at Booneville, KY.  Visitation will begin at 11:00 am until time of service.  Deaton Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.  Military rites will be observed.
