Jennifer Calhoun, age 81, of Jackson, KY. passed away on Wednesday, January 21, 2026, at the KY River Medical Center in Jackson, KY. of a brief illness. She was born March 4, 1944, in Middletown, OH. She was the daughter of the late Warren and Sylvia Jane Hardin Calhoun. She was preceded also in death by her Paternal Grandparents: Bob and Alice Caudill Calhoun. Maternal Grandparents: Enos and Laura Davidson Hardin. Her Brother-in-law, Harley H. Martin. And Nephew: Tony Calhoun. She was a graduate of Morehead State University. She was a Skilled Quilter and Crewel Embroidery. She also was a licensed beautician.
She is survived by her sister, Shelia Calhoun Martin of Dayton, OH. Her brothers: Lowell (Betty) Calhoun of Jackson, KY. and Rory (Myra Jo) Calhoun of Augusta, GA.
Nieces and Nephews: Gregory H. Martin (Kristine), Richard Martin, Erica Martin Chen (Jesse), Eric Lee Martin, Gregory H. Martin, Jr., Heather Joy Calhoun, Crystal Calhoun (Mike), Rory Adam Calhoun, Nicole Terry, Zackery Calhoun (Elizabeth), Edwin Jacob Calhoun (Amber), Anthony Gibson (Janet), and Dewayne Gibson (Kristina).
Great Nephews and Nieces: Alyssa, Sophia, Joseph, Ethan, Jayden, Kennedi, Rory Jr., Abigail, Aaron Jr., Sakiah, Isabella, Zachery A. II, Issabella, Jacob, Lucas, Delilah, Tessa, Ahbri, Tristah, Xavier, Jesse (JJ.), James, Jax, Riley-Blaze’ Louise Calhoun. And a host of great grand nephews and nieces. A very special thank you to special friends of Jennifer: Twilla Haddix, Linda Gross, Wanda Rose, Ann Deaton, Shirley Hays and Dale Rose.
She is also survived by a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 31, 2026, at 1:00 pm at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel.
Burial will be in the Hardin Cemetery, Hwy 1098, Portsmouth, KY.
Deaton Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
