Charles Ray McKnight

Charles Ray McKnight, age 82, of Jackson, KY passed away on Tuesday, December 30, 2025, at the KY River Medical Center in Jackson, KY of a brief illness.  He was born August 4, 1943, in Jackson, KY and was preceded in death by his father: Ray McKnight.  His stepfather, Courtnery Fletcher and his mother: Hazel Morris McKnight Fletcher.  Charles was a retired security guard for Falcon Coal Company and Jackson City School.  He was also preceded in death by his wife: Sandra Cox McKnight.  Brother:  Sylvester “Bess” McKnight, and stepbrothers: Roy Fletcher and Taylor Fletcher, Sisters: Ella McKnight Feltner, Clara McKnight and Violet McKnight Patrick.  He is survived by son:  Charles Ray McKnight, Jr of Jackson, KY.  Daughters:  Patty McKnight Fugate of Lawrenceburg, KY and Kimberly McKnight of Whitesburg, KY.   Grandchildren:  Timothy McKnight, Tianna McKnight Whitmore and Dakota McKnight.  Joshua Fugate and Rebekah Fugate.  Morgan Bush and Austin Bush.  He is also survived by a host of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.  No services will be observed.  Deaton Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
