Lester Burton

Lester Burton, age 80, of Talbert, KY passed away on Tuesday, September 2, 2025, at the Hazard ARH.  He was born April 28, 1945, at Talbert, KY and was the son of the late Hargis and Mae Herald Burton.  He was a retired bus driver for the Breathitt County Senior Citizens.  He was preceded also in death by his wife: Pauline Herald Burton.  His son: Lester Paul Burton.  His daughter: Linda Burton.  His brother: Woodrow Burton.  His sisters:  Sally Noble, Julie Noble, Betty Jean Noble and Nellie Raleigh.  He is survived by one daughter: Leslie (Ritchie) Whitely of Talbert, KY.  Three grandchildren:  Justin (Sarah) Rivera, Madison (Alex) Lewis and Celeste (Ricky) Davis.  Two great grandsons:  Brantley Owens and Liam Raney.  Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 6, 2025, at 1:00 pm at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel with Chris Turner officiating.  Burial in the Hall Cemetery at Talbert, KY.  Visitation will begin at 11:00 am until time of service on Saturday.  Deaton Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
