Stephanie Jean Combs

Stephanie Jean Combs, age 49, of Mt. Vernon, KY and formerly of Jackson passed away on Friday, August 1, 2025, at the Rockcastle Hospital in Mt. Vernon of an extended illness.  She was born September 12, 1975, in Hazard, KY and was the daughter of the late: Lizzie Louise Wallace.  She was also preceded in death by her brother: Herschel Eugene Jonathan Wallace.  She is survived by her father: Fred Edward Wallace, Sr of Jackson, KY.  One son: Stanley Combs, Jr (Kristen Combs) of Hyden, KY.  One daughter: Gladys (Roy Dean) Collins of Wilburton, OK.  One brother: Fred Edward Wallace, Jr of Jackson, KY.  One sister: Carla May Wallace (Travis Combs) of Jackson, KY.  Five grandchildren:  Emma Rasnake, Joseph Rasnake, Logan Collins, Elizabeth Renee Combs and Paisley Leana Mullins.  Two nephews: Landon Campbell and Granville David Herschel Wallace.  Two nieces:  Alexis Combs and Kylie Mary Jane Wallace.  Her favorite sister-in-law: Margaret OKuly.  She is also survived by a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 4, 2025, at 11:00 am at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel. with Cecil Combs and Johnny Combs officiating.  Burial in the Hollon Cemetery, Haddix Fork Road, Jackson, KY.  Visitation will be Sunday from 5:00-9:00 pm.  Deaton Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
