Laura Jane Riley

Laura Jane Stamper Riley, age 77, of Cynthiana, KY passed away on Tuesday, July 29, 2025, at the Frankfort Regional Medical Center in Frankfort of any extended illness.  She was born July 20, 1948, at Canoe, KY and was the daughter of the late Willie and Polly Ann Turner Stamper.  She was preceded in death also by brothers: Jerry Stamper, Vernel Stamper and Ronnie Chaney.  Sisters: Georgia Turner and Mattie Stamper.  She is survived by her husband: Elmer Riley of Cynthiana, KY.  Three sons:  Danny (Susan) Riley, Randy (Lori) Riley and Elmer Jr. (Melissa) Riley, all of Cynthiana, KY.  One daughter:  Freda (Mark) Huff of Cynthiana, KY.  One brother: John (Helen) Turner, Jr. of Covington, KY. Two sisters:  Fairy Faye Combs of Saldee, KY and Connie Hawkins of Bevay, IN.  Longtime special friends:  Doris Patton and Evelyn Patton.  Grandchildren: Ryan (Katie) Huff of Cynthiana, KY; Megan (Travis) Chapman of Berry, KY.  Charles Williams of Cynthiana, KY.  Step grandchildren: Andrew (Haley) Jones of Georgetown, KY. Ryan Linville and Jody Linville of Cynthiana, KY.  Great grandchildren:  Arthur Chapman and due in November, Beau Huff.  Step great grandchildren:  Mallory Jones, Kendal Jones, Oliver Jones, Weston Linville, Ellamae Linville, Peyton Falkner.  She is also survived by a host of other relatives and friends.  Funeral services will be held on Sunday, August 3, 2025, at 1:00 pm at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel with Phillip Swartzentruber officiating.  Burial in the Stamper, -Riley-Combs Cemetery, Stamper Fork, Canoe, KY.  Visitation will begin on Sunday at 11:00 am until time of service.  Deaton Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
