Wilma Bowling Hensley

Wilma Bowling Hensley, age 73, of Jackson, KY passed away on Thursday, September 5, 2024, at the UK Hospital in Lexington, KY.  She was born August 28, 1951, at Canoe, KY and was the daughter of the late Roy and Cleda Mae Bowling.   She was preceded also in death by her husband: Reverend Elmer Hensley.  Brothers: Jesse Bowling, Walter McIntosh, Hubert Bowling and Robert Bowling. Sisters:  Carmie Stewart, Hazel Arrowood, Shirley Noble, Pearl Curtis, Martha Bowling and Bessie Bowling.  She is survived by one son: Joshua Reed Hensley of Jackson, KY.  One brother: Homer (Vonda) Bowling of Jackson, KY.  One sister: Cora (Johnny) Griffith of Jackson, KY.  Two special nephews:  Jesse James Bowling and Jason Dean Bowling.  She is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, many other relatives and friends.  Funeral services will be held on Monday, September 9, 2024, at Noon at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel with Homer Bowling and Kenneth Noble officiating.  Burial in the Hensley and Combs Cemetery, Howards Creek Road, Haddix, KY.  Visitation will be Sunday from 5:00-9:00 pm.  Deaton Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
