Rose Louise Wolfe

Rose Louise Wolfe, age 69, of Jackson, KY passed away on Friday, August 16, 2024 at the Wells Hospice Care Center in Hazard, KY.  She was born August 24, 1954 in Garden City,  Michigan.  Rose was the retired mayor of the City of Jackson.  She was preceded also in death by her mother: Eudora Rutherford Caldwell.  Her husband: Art Wolfe.  Her brother: Foster Lee Caldwell.  Her very special friend: Grace Gross. She is survived by her two sons: Michael (Lindsey) Wolfe and Robert Wolfe both of Jackson, KY.  Her daughter: Sarah (Richard) Trent of Jackson, KY. Seven grandchildren:  Jarrod Wolfe, Luke Wolfe, Brandon Wolfe, Bo Wolfe, Kobi Oakley, Tiarra Trent and Richard Trent III.   Three great grandchildren: Callie Roseanna Wolfe, River Trent, Bohannan Trent.  Two special nieces:  Rosetta Griffith and April Caldwell-Isaacs.   A special friend: Lloyd “Owl Head” Gross of Jackson, KY.  She is also survived by a host of other relatives and many friends.  A visitation will be held on Sunday, August 18, 2024 from 1:00 pm-5:00 pm at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel.  A private burial service will be held at the Jackson Cemetery after the visitation.  Deaton Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.  In lieu of flowers, any donations requested be made to hospice (Bluegrass Care Navigators) 1733 Harrodsburg Rd, Lexington, KY 40504 or the Rose Wolfe Scholarship Fund at the Peoples Bank, 770 KY Highway 15 North, Jackson, KY 41339.     Deaton Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
