William C. Griffith, (77) of Butler, KY passed away on Monday, October 9, 2017 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Edgewood, KY–William was born in Jackson, KY on June 19, 1940, son of the late Alfred and Rachel Arrowood Griffith.–In addition to his parents, William was preceded in death by his son: Gary William Turner and brother: Dan Griffith.–Survivors include his wife: Joy Turner Griffith, son Larry Griffith, sister Mary L. Turner, 5 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.–Visitation will be held 4-7 pm Tuesday, October 10, 2017 at New Macedonia Church in Newport, KY, under the direction of Peoples Funeral Home.–Funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 11, 2017 at the Old Regular Macedonia Baptist Church in Breathitt County, KY with Pat Turner officiating.–Burial will be in the Johnny Griffith Cemetery, Sebastians Branch, KY.–Deaton Funeral Home in charge of local arrangements.
